• Hot water should be avoided because it leads to very dry skin. Winters are cold, I know. But that does not mean you use piping hot water. You can go for lukewarm water.

• Eat properly. Your diet affects your skin a lot. Omega 3 fatty acids are great for skin. So eat foods that are rich in it. Sardines, tuna, salmon, etc are a few examples.

• Cover yourself up when you go out. The cold wind can be very harsh on your skin. So be careful.
