Daniel Craig Is Still Producers’ First Choice to Play James Bond

Will it be fifth time’s the charm for Daniel Craig as James Bond? The answer might be yes! Callum McDougall, executive producer of the last four Bond films, said in a new interview that Craig is still the first choice to play the British spy for series producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

Asked if the English actor, 48, is going to return in the 25th official 007 adventure as the eponymous secret service agent, McDougall told BBC Radio 4 on Friday, September 30, “I wish I knew. We love Daniel. We would love Daniel to return as Bond. Without any question he is absolutely Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli’s first choice. I know they’re hoping for him to come back.”

While Craig is the producers No. 1 choice, the actor himself has been vocal about being over the action franchise. After the release of Spectre in October 2015, Craig told Time Out London of reprising his role again, “Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Craig’s costar Naomie Harris — who played Moneypenny in the film — later told BBC News The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star was “just being sarcastic” and that his “sense of humor … doesn’t come across particularly well in print.”

One month later on November 5, Craig clarified his comments to the Today show’s Matt Lauer and said he “had massive amounts of fun” making the film. But as for doing another 007 movie, “I don’t want to think about it. … Maybe I’ll make another one. I don’t know.”

Since then, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Jamie Bell have all been rumored to replace Craig, who first portrayed the slick spy in 2006’s Casino Royal (2006), and went on to reprise the role in Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015).

'Killer Clowns' Are Terrorizing People Around the Country: What’s Happening?

No clowning around. Reports of “killer clowns” terrorizing and scaring people have been spreading across the country, and now people in more than ten states have reported sightings.

On Friday, September 30, schools in Reading, Ohio, were closed after a clown made a veiled threat to students while attacking a woman on her front porch. Kim Youngblood, 45, told police that she was outside of her home around 2:30 a.m. when a man in a white mask, red wig and striped costume grabbed her by the throat, the New York Post reports. “I should just kill you now,” the clown reportedly told the victim, before adding, “Some students and teachers would wish they were never born at the Jr. and Sr. High School today.” The creepy character was then startled by a nearby noise and let her go before running off.

South Carolina has been facing its own clown epidemic since August. In one report, several children in Greenville reported clown sightings and that the creeps tried to lure them into the woods with money, USA Today reports. However, police have been unable to locate anyone in connection to the case, but the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Master Deputy Ryan Flood said, “Obviously, this is the type of claim that we need to take serious whether it’s valid or not.”

The clown phenom may have made their way up to North Carolina, too. On September 4, two kids in Winston-Salem claimed that a person in white overalls, white gloves and red shoes with red hair and a red nose tried to get them to come into the woods by offering candy, according to the Associated Press. An adult also heard the clown’s voice, but did not see him. Winston Salem police said they are increasing police presence due to the unverified sightings.

The horror doesn’t end there. In Tennessee, two suspects — one in a clown mask — brought explosives into a Memphis, Tennessee, bank on September 28, according to USA Today. The duo stole money from the bank and drove off in a car, and police have yet to apprehend them.

In one of the most horrifying incidents, a 16-year-old high school sophomore was fatally stabbed in Reading, Pennsylvania, by a man in a clown mask. A suspect, Avery Valentin-Bair, was arrested on first-degree murder and other charges in connection to the crime, the AP reports.

The string of clown sightings doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Residents in Colorado, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia have also reported incidents involving clowns. However, some of the sightings have been investigated and turned out to be hoaxes.

In Kansas City, Kansas, police had to post a message to their official Facebook page to reassure residents that there’s no real threat of clowns. “There have been no actual sightings of clowns trying to abduct children in in the KCK area. Please be aware that there may be copycats incidents but there has been no credible sightings at this time. As of now it is just an internet hoax,” the message read. Real or not, this trend is truly terrifying.

One theory for the clown resurgence is that Halloween is coming up soon. Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman makes the point that since the 1980s, clowns have made appearances in the months or weeks before the costume holiday. As Rolling Stone suggested, it may just be too many clown movies with a Poltergeist reboot last year and previews for an It remake that dropped in recent weeks.

FKA Twigs, Robert Pattinson Are Still Together, Enjoy Night Out in L.A. at Drake’s Afterparty

In case you were wondering, Robert Pattinson is still engaged to FKA Twigs. The low-key couple reappeared in Los Angeles on Monday, September 26, and attended Drake’s afterparty at the NICE GUY on Thursday, September 29.

According to an eyewitness, the Twilight hunk, 30, and “Two Weeks” singer, 28, were very much together at Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” wrap party.

“Rob and FKA Twigs came together and were being cute,” an eyewitness tells Us Weekly. “They hung out together the whole evening.”

Kevin Spacey, Joshua Jackson, Shay Mitchell, Ayesha Curry, Iggy Azalea and her new beau, French Montana, were also in attendance at the fete, which was hosted by Drake’s whiskey, Virginia Black.

Pattinson — who famously dated his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart for three years before splitting in May 2013 — and his British love got engaged in April 2015 after just six months of dating. As previously reported by Us, T-Pain accidentally revealed their engagement during an interview with Vulture magazine and later tried to claim it was an April Fool’s joke.

“I hear they were telling people they were promise rings, but I haven’t seen Pattinson wearing one,” a source told Us at the time. “They only told a few people about the engagement.”

Despite rumors of a split earlier this year, sources updated Us in September and said that the two are still happily engaged and just taking their time to walk down the aisle.

“Twigs is still enormously happy with Rob, and they aren’t rushing to have the wedding,” an insider said. “Things couldn’t be better.”

The pair were last spotted at Cafe Mogador in Williamsburg on May 17 prior to touching down in L.A. on Monday.

This Man Made Tiny Pancakes for His Girlfriend’s Kitten

Chase Stout and Kenzie Jones

When Chase Stout’s girlfriend, Kenzie Jones, went out of town, he was tasked with feeding her kitten, Mr. Wilson. So Stout did the cutest thing ever: He whipped up a hearty breakfast fit for a 1.9 pound feline. But before the Iowa-based 21-year-old got busy in the kitchen, he texted his love of nearly two years an important question.

“Do you know if Wilson likes chocolate chips in his pancakes?” Stout typed. To which Jones replied, “did you give him some?”

Stout shared the exchange on Twitter along with a photo of Mr. Wilson enjoying his three teeny-tiny flapjacks topped with a pad of butter on September 26, and the pictures went viral, with 44,000 retweets and 81,000 likes. His caption: “When your girlfriend goes out of town and tells you ‘don’t forget to feed our cat.’”

“I made Wilson’s just like I did mine but with much less batter,” Stout tells Us Weekly. “We sat at the table and ate them together.” For the record, Mr. Wilson’s stack did not include chocolate chips!

“Wilson seemed to like them,” says Stout. “But I didn’t want him to eat them all because I was worried he’d have an upset stomach.”

As for people calling him #boyfriendgoals? “Kenzie is my favorite person,” Stout gushes to Us. “I try to spoil her with what I can and she does the same for me. I am the lucky one for sure.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Wilson isn’t the only animal to enjoy such a feast. In August, a woman named Sarah Kulevich grabbed headlines after she tweeted images of the miniature pancakes she feeds her chickens. “I spoil them,” the 18-year-old told New York Magazine. “I thought I’d make them pancakes because it’s like sweet bread and they loved it.”

Donald Trump Met Paris Hilton When She Was 12 and Said This …

Oh dear. Donald Trump made an icky comment about meeting Paris Hilton when she was just 12 years old. The admission came during a 2003 interview with Howard Stern that’s resurfaced amid the controversial businessman’s attack against former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, which came up during the first presidential debate with his opponent Hillary Clinton this week.

As previously reported, Trump has bullied the Venezuelan beauty, calling her fat and “the worst Miss Universe ever,” and during an early Friday, September 30, Twitter rant accused her of having a sex tape.

In the resurfaced interview with Stern, Trump admitted to having watched Paris Hilton’s infamous sex tape.

“I’ve known Paris Hilton from the time she’s 12,” Trump told Stern back in 2003.

“She’s hot,” Stern said of Hilton, who was then 22.

“Her parents are friends of mine and the first time I saw her she walked into a room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?’” the business mogul continued.

“Did you want to bang her?” Stern asked.

“She’s a very … Well, at 12 I wasn’t interested. I’ve never been into that. They’ve sort of always stuck around that 25 category,” he responded.

Stern then asked Trump if he had seen Hilton’s sex tape, 1 Night in Paris, which was filmed and released by her then-boyfriend in 2004, and what he thought about it.

Trump told Stern that his wife, Melania, showed it to him and that he believes the tape benefitted the socialite’s career.

“I think it’s probably unfortunate and it made Paris hotter in terms of the world because the world is so screwed up,” Trump explained, before comparing the heiress’ situation to actor Hugh Grant’s 1995 scandal involving a prostitute. “I mean, you think a thing like that is going to destroy, like Hugh Grant who I love. I think he’s great. He’s a member of my golf club. You would have think he would have been destroyed by what happened to him and he’s the biggest star now than he ever was, so you never know what happens but I think it probably made Paris even better.”

Machado and Trump’s opponent Clinton have since bashed the Republican’s recent comments.

In a series of tweets, Clinton dubbed Trump “unhinged” and tweeted that his insults and policies “reflect his disregard — and event contempt — for women.”

Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke Hernandez Gets Rushed, Knocked Over by a Fan on Stage

Disharmony in Mexico. A Fifth Harmony fan rushed the stage during the girl group’s Thursday, September 19, concert in Monterrey, Mexico and grabbed Ally Brooke Hernandez, knocked her to her feet. While the singer, 23, promptly stood back up, the male attacker was dragged off stage by security. The incident was captured by another concertgoer on video, which you can watch above.

Unfortunately, the attack marks the Texas native’s second since arriving in Mexico. Earlier this week, a fan hoping to snap a selfie rushed and grabbed Hernandez at the airport when Fifth Harmony arrived in the country.

“Just to let you know, I am ok after the airport incident,” she posted on Twitter Wednesday, September 28. “Please be careful and gentle so nobody gets hurt. That was scary. Thank you!”

Despite the airport incident, Hernandez kept her spirits high. “Monterrey, I couldn’t be happier to be here!” she continued. “It’s been a dream of mine since I was little. My favorite singer Selena Quintanilla had many beautiful performances here. And now I get to perform in this city! I’m beyond honored & proud.”

Fifth Harmony are scheduled to perform one more show in the country this week at Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex. The Mexico incidents come one month after the girl group’s Normani Kordei left Twitter due to racial cyberbullying.

“I can’t subject myself any longer to the hate,” the 20-year-old posted on Twitter August 6. “I’m not the first black female celebrity to deal with this and I’m sure I won’t be the last. I want to take this moment to say Love goes much further than hate in this world. Hiding behind a computer and putting people down, especially for the color of their skin doesn’t make you cool, it makes you a coward!”

When she returned to the social media platform September 13, Kordei she had a mission.

“I want to raise awareness of the support that is available to people affected while playing my part in contributing to a kinder and more positive internet for everybody,” the Atlanta native, who partnered with anti-cyberbullying organization CyberSmile, explained on Twitter. “It’s important to stand up to all forms of bullying, and it’s even more important for those who are around you to be just as courageous and stand with you! Together, we can put an end to the hate and promote only positivity and love.”

Watch President Barack Obama Get Impatient Waiting For Bill Clinton on Air Force One: ‘Let’s Go!’

He’s got a country to run, Bill! Bill Clinton left President Barack Obama waiting on Air Force One after attending the funeral of president Shimon Peres in Tel Aviv. Peres, who was one of the last living founders of Israel died at age 93 on Wednesday, September 28, two weeks after suffering a stroke.

Britain’s Sky News captured President Obama, 55, standing inside the plane growing more and more impatient with Clinton, 70, the former president delayed their departure back to the United States. Clinton was reportedly chatting on the tarmac with Secretary of State John Kerry, according to thehill.com.

The current president, who is known for his relatively calm and cool demeanor, appeared as if he couldn’t wait for Clinton to finish his conversation. With his suit jacket off and his sleeves rolled up, he sighed, clapped three times and then shouted from the plane’s entryway twice, “Bill, let’s go!”

Moments later, with a talkative Clinton still not on the aircraft, the visibly exasperated but still smiling father of Malia, 18, and Sasha, 15, returned to the entryway and tried again yelling, “Bill! Let’s go. We gotta go home!” The two presidents were reportedly due back to the capital at dinner time.

Eventually, Clinton — whose wife of 40 years, Hillary Clinton, was campaigning for the presidency Friday in Florida —was finally ready to make the journey back to Washington, D.C., and joined Obama on the plane with a quick pat on the back.

Hillary Clinton Defends Alicia Machado After Donald Trump’s Sex Tape Allegations

Hillary Clinton came to Alicia Machado’s defense again on Friday, September 30, after her controversial opponent Donald Trump claimed the former Miss Universe has a sex tape.

“Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?” the Republican presidential nominee, 70, tweeted at 2:30 a.m. PT on Friday.

“This is … unhinged, even for Trump. A few notes,” Clinton, 68, responded via Twitter. “What kind of man stays up all night to smear a woman with lies and conspiracy theories?”

As previously reported, Clinton used Trump’s past derogatory and malicious comments about Machado during the first presidential debate on Monday, September 26, as an example of the business mogul’s treatment of women. (Trump called her “Miss Piggy” and the “worst Miss Universe winner ever” during an appearance on Fox & Friends on September 27.) Machado has since appeared in an ad for Clinton, which ignited Trump’s most recent Twitter rant.

“Alicia deserves praise for courageously standing up to Trump’s attacks. And he has the gall to blame her — and say he ‘helped’?” Clinton continued on Twitter on Friday. “When something gets under Donald’s thin skin, he lashes out and can’t let go. This is dangerous for a president. … Trump obsessively bullies Rosie O’Donnell — an accomplished actor. He insulted Kim Kardashian for her weight — when she was pregnant. Pathetic.”

Clinton added that Trump’s insults and policies “reflect his disregard — and event contempt — for women.” The former secretary of state backed up her tweet by offering examples of Trump’s viewpoints.

She concluded her series of tweets by sharing Machado’s earlier response to Trump.

“I will keep standing, sharing my story, my absolute support for Mrs. Clinton on behalf of women, my sisters, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, friends and female community,” the Venezuelan beauty wrote in a lengthy statement via Instagram. “I want to thank you for all the support, love and respecting my career, myself as a human being and my family.”

Machado, 39, explained that she became a U.S. citizen because her daughter was born in the States.

“I will continue standing firm in my lived experience as Miss Universe and you with me supporting me,” she concluded on Instagram. “I’ve been so pleased with many kind words, for so much love. I’m focusing on my busy career, in my work as mother and I will continue taking positive steps for the Latino community, I will continue as an activist for women’s rights and respect we deserve. I appreciate all your love and all your support again, thanks.”

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie’s Temporary Custody Agreement: Divorce Attorney Explains

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reached a temporary three-week custody agreement, which includes therapy and drug tests, suggested by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Service on Friday, September 30. Divorce attorney Hossein Berenji, who is not working with the couple, breaks it down for Us Weekly and explains the likely reasons both parties consented to the deal.

A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Jolie, 41, will temporarily get full physical custody of the couple’s six kids: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. Jolie and Pitt voluntarily agreed that at least the first visitation between Pitt and the kids will be supervised by a therapist. Both parents will receive individual counseling, and they agreed to attend counseling sessions as a family with the children. Finally, the Moneyball actor, 52, will undergo —voluntarily — random drug and alcohol testing. (His first drug test, which he offered to take, came back negative for drugs and alcohol.)

Berenji explains to Us Weekly that since the DCFS was already investigating the family over claims that the Oscar-winning producer was allegedly verbally abusive and physical with the kids aboard the couple’s private jet on September 14, the agency probably decided to make recommendations for the high-profile case.

“I think that for Angelina’s purposes, temporarily at least, this does the trick for her to make sure the children are safe while seeing Brad and possibly have Brad take some responsibility for maybe certain behaviors that he’s displayed or certain characteristics,” the L.A.-based lawyer tells Us. “He knows that he’s being scrutinized by the courts and that he needs to get his act together if that’s the case.”

However, the process could be highly beneficial for Pitt, too, according to Berenji. “For him, the best way to vindicate himself might be to put himself through this process even though there might be a stigma attached to it,” he says. “It might actually just be a way to deal with this and put down all these rumors in a very short, fast, quick period of time that will not involve a whole huge scandal where the kids and their lives and their past and everything is dragged through public media. So there is a benefit I can see to both sides, and I can see why both sides might be willing to go through this process and get this done.”

As for how the DCFS came up with the parenting plan, Berenji says that they likely interviewed both Pitt and Jolie, and possibly the children individually. “The parenting plan also takes into consideration Angelina’s concerns and Brad’s issues or problems,” he says. “This seems to be some sort of a parenting plan to get the parties back to some sort of normal visitation.”

Depending on the results of Pitt’s drug tests and the therapist’s recommendations, the DCFS will decide the next steps. “They’re going to have jurisdiction over the issue of custody and visitation of the children until such time that they relinquish their jurisdiction and they give it back to the family court that’s handling the divorce,” Berenji says.

The Maleficent actress and the children have been staying at a rental home in Malibu since Jolie filed for divorce on Monday, September 19, to end their two-year marriage. The London School of Economics visiting professor cited irreconcilable differences and requested full physical custody of the children. An insider previously told Us Weekly that the estranged spouses clashed over many issues, including parenting styles.

Bruce Springsteen Writes Absence Note for Fifth Grader Who Attended His Meet and Greet

What The Boss says goes. Bruce Springsteen penned an absence note for fifth grader Michael Fenerty, who attends Philadelphia’s Masterman secondary school.

“Please excuse Michael Fenerty for being late or absent from school today. He came to the Free Library of Philadelphia to meet me and to get a copy of my book,” read the letter signed by the 67-year-old rocker.

Michael and his father, Mike, were two of 1,200 fans to attend the daytime event Thursday, September 29, celebrating the release of the New Jersey native’s autobiography, Born to Run. While fans had to hand over any items they wanted signed to library staffers before coming face-to-face with Springsteen, Mike slipped him the note — and a pen — when they got to the front of the line.

“My son said, ‘Bruce, would you sign my absence note?’” Mike told Philly.com. “[Springsteen] lit up. He was affectionate toward Michael as soon as he saw him. He said, ‘I have to read it first, that’s how I got in trouble with my first contract.’ He said, ‘I hope you don’t get in trouble.’”

Once they secured the letter and some face time with Springsteen, the father-son duo returned to Michael’s school. But they weren’t eager to hand off the autographed excuse to Principal Brown.

“I only gave her a photocopy,” Mike admits.

Even at a young age, Michael — who attended Springsteen’s September 7 concert on the first day of school — seriously appreciates the encounter.

“My son was very starstruck,” his dad continued to the website. “It was a very cool experience.”
