New York Public School Is First to Offer Vegetarian-Only Meals

“Fox & Friends” reports PS 244, a New York City elementary school, has become the first in the nation to serve only vegetarian options in the cafeteria. WPIX says the school now serves veggie-only breakfast and lunches, including items like vegetable wraps, black beans, roasted chickpeas and lots of greens. The school made the move because of popular demand. New York Daily News adds it’s all part of a public school revolution that was sparked when Mayor Bloomberg took office.
