– Requirements: You don’t need much. You can use any type of bread like sliced bread, baguettes, bagels, hot dog buns and hamburger buns. All you need is a food processor and a few slices of any of these kinds of bread. Tear the bread into pieces and pulse them in the processor a few times. How much you pulse them will depend on what the recipe requires. You can get a coarse or a fine texture.

– If you want seasoned breadcrumbs, add the seasoning you prefer like chopped parsley, Parmesan cheese or dried spices.

Chocolate Banana Cookies for Cookie Lovers

We are all chocolate lovers. Most of us are banana lovers too! Combine these two elements and you’ll be left with an amazing banana cookie that you can’t have enough of! Here is the recipe for you:

You will need:

1. Brown sugar: 1 cup

2. Butter: ½ cup

3. Shortening: ½ cup

4. Eggs: 2

5. Bananas [overripe and mashed] – 3

6. Flour: 2 cups

7. Salt: 1 tsp

8. Rolled oats: 1 cup

9. Baking powder: 1 tsp

10. Cinnamon: 1 tsp

11. Mini chocolate chips: ½ cup

12. Icing sugar: ¼ cup

13. Vanilla extract: ½ tsp

14. Peanut butter: 4 tbsp

15. Heavy cream: ½ cup

16. Semi-sweet chocolate chips: ½ cup

The method of preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line with parchment paper.

2. Cream the butter, shortening and brown sugar at medium power in a stand mixer. Let it combine well and become fluffy. Once it combines well, add the eggs and bananas and beat thoroughly.

3. Take a bowl and combine the oats, salt, flour, cinnamon and baking powder and whisk well.

4. Add the above mixture to the creamed sugar mixture. Mix well. Fold the mini chocolate chips into the mixture.

5. Use a small scoop to scoop out the dough and put it into the baking sheet.

6. Bake for about 20 minutes. The bottoms should turn golden brown.

7. Let the cookies cool and then move them to a cooling rack to cool completely.

8. Store the cookies for two days in an air-tight container.

9. Combine icing sugar, heavy cream, peanut butter and vanilla in a bowl and mix until thick.

10. Frost the cookies with the frosting and then drizzle with melted chocolate chips.

11. Let it set for 3 hours before serving.

You will need:

 Fresh green beans – 4 cups

 Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tbsp

 Chopped mushrooms – 2 cups

 Dry white wine – ¼ cup

 Onions, large, chopped – 1

 Minced garlic cloves – 2

 Salt and pepper

 Crumbled feta cheese – ½ cup

Method:

1. Heat the olive oil first and then add the onions. Cook for not more than 2 minutes before adding the cloves of garlic, green beans and mushrooms. Cook now for 6 minutes or until all the veggies soften.

2. Add the wine, pepper and salt. The wine needs to be cooked out. Add feta after removing the vegetables from the heat

3. Serve warm.

Yummy Chilli Pancakes

Love Pancakes? Here is a recipe that you must try out. It is called Chilli Pancake. Spice your pancakes up and enjoy them!

You will need –

  • 100 gm of flour
  • 300 ml of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove of garlic. Make sure it is skinned and nicely crushed
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tsp of chilli powder
  • 1 chopped yellow pepper
  • 425 gm of drained red kidney beans
  • 397 gm of can tomatoes
  • 425 gm of baked beans
  • 50 gm of grated Red Leicester cheese

Method of Preparation –

  • Take the flour in the bowl and add the egg in the centre after making a well in the flour. Add the milk gradually and beat it well so that a smooth batter is formed.
  • On a hot frying pan, pour 3 tbsp of the batter and cook well until the pancake moves easily. Continue cooking until it is golden colored. You can make 8 such pancakes.
  • Simmer garlic, beans, chilli powder, onion and tomatoes for 15 minutes in a pan. After this add the pepper and green beans and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • This is the filling for the pancakes. Divide it among the pancakes and fold each pancake into a triangle. Place them in baking dish in a uniform layer and then sprinkle the grated cheese.
  • Grill them until the cheese melts.
